There was a recent documentary created that featured Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots and Nick Saban of the Alabama Crimson Tide. While speaking about the documentary, Dont'a Hightower revealed what makes Belichick and Saban special.

“I thought it was really good,” Hightower said, transcribed by NESN. “I thought that it spoke a lot about what those guys meant to each other and how much of an effect they have on not just one another, but their families, as well, and just kind of understanding what football is.

Hightower, a veteran linebacker for the Patriots, was a player who was fortunate enough to play under Saban and Belichick. The two legendary coaches have combined for 12 championships and are regarded as the best at their craft.

Both Belichick and Saban had interesting paths in their careers to get where they are right now. At one point, Belichick was head coach of the Cleveland Browns in the 1990s. On the other hand, Saban was once head coach of the Miami Dolphins.

After spending time at Alabama, Hightower was selected with the 25th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Since his arrival in the NFL, Hightower has been one of the most versatile linebackers in the league.

Over his eight years in New England, he has tallied 523 tackles, 24 sacks, 41 tackles for loss, and 59 quarterback hits. Through the first 14 weeks, Hightower has the most sacks (four) in his career since the 2014 season.

Hightower will look to help Belichick secure his 272nd win in the regular season on Sunday versus the Cincinnati Bengals.
