It seems like former New England Patriots linebacker James Harrison is just looking to give reasons for Pittsburgh Steelers fans to hate him at this point.

A bitter rival of Tom Brady's for much of his career, Harrison told FS1's Undisputed that he was never able to hate the New England Patriots quarterback and gushed about how great of a teammate he was during Harrison's stint with the Patriots last year.

“Believe me, I wanted to hate this dude with a passion,” Harrison told Undisputed co-host and Hall-of-Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe. “I get there and I’m like, ‘Dude, he’s the ultimate teammate.'”

Harrison also called Brady “the truth.”

“I’m up there, and it was [during] the snowstorm they had. It was [a] crazy, crazy blizzard,” Harrison said. “Cats are like, ‘Man, we really got to go outside?’ Tom goes, ‘Hey, stop complaining. Let’s go.’ He takes off out there with just the little sleeves and all that for practice, like it was nothing. Hey man, he’s the truth. I’m not going to lie.”

The retired linebacker said that he even told Brady that he wanted to hate him during his time with the Steelers, and Brady simply laughed at the remark.

Harrison had two separate stints with Pittsburgh, first playing with the Steelers from 2002 through 2012 before heading to the Cincinnati Bengals in 2013. He then returned to Pittsburgh the following year, playing with the team through most of last season before asking for a release due to a lack of playing time and then signing with the Patriots.
