The New England Patriots allowed the New York Giants to get back in Thursday night's game due to a fumble by wide receiver Josh Gordon. The Patriots were dealt multiple blows on the same play after Gordon came down awkwardly on his knee.

Gordon has since been seen in the sidelines riding the stationary bike. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, he is questionable to return to the game:

Patriots WR Josh Gordon (knee) is questionable to return after hurting his knee on the Giants scoop-and-score. He was spotted riding a bike.

The prospect of Gordon's absence would deal a crucial blow to a Patriots' receiving corps that had already been dealing with its fair share of injuries in the 2019 NFL season. Wide receiver Phillip Dorsett was already sidelined for this tilt against the Giants due to a hamstring injury he suffered against the Washington Redskins in Week 5. Meanwhile, wide receiver Julian Edelman is playing at less than 100 percent while dealing with some bumps and bruises of his own.

It is safe to say that the timing of the injury is hardly ideal for New England. They are already relying on rookie wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to serve as a replacement for Dorsett in the passing game. Gordon's absence would leave quarterback Tom Brady without yet another weapon to throw too.

Gordon came into the matchup having registered 18 receptions for 273 yards and a touchdown through the first four games of the season.
