The New England Patriots are undoubtedly the most dominant team in the NFL, and they want nothing more than to add to their already-impressive tally of Super Bowl victories by signing another outstanding talent in Justin Bethel.

Ian Rapoport confirmed the acquisition of the three-time Pro Bowl special teamer with his tweet.

Bethel started his career with the Arizona Cardinals. It was with the team that he got his stints in the Pro Bowl. He's established himself as a terrific option for special teams. After leaving the Cardinals in 2017, he spent a year with the Atlanta Falcons in 2018. He spent the next year with the Baltimore Ravens, where he played every game of the season before getting cut by the team.

The acquisition was a great move for the Patriots as they are a team that is always looking for outstanding talent to add to the roster. A team that aspires to win multiple Super Bowls will do everything they can to bolster the strength of their team.

However, it can be argued that adding another talented player to their special teams is a bit of an overkill. They have been playing so well this season that popular sports media personality Colin Cowherd thinks that the AFC is already over. The Patriots have struggled to play their usual brand of football offensively over the past couple of games, but they're still managing to win those close calls.

What Bethel adds to the team is more depth in an already-impressive defense. This should only boost their chances of winning a seventh Super Bowl in the Tom Brady era.
