New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is expected to see extended playing time during Thursday night's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, Brady is expected to play a good portion of the first half, and could actually play all of it.

Unless there is a last minute setback that could change New England's plan, fans can expect to see a good portion of number 12 in this game. Last week, Brady sat out the Patriots' preseason game with what was reported as a sore back.

He told reporters earlier this week that he is feeling better. Via Patriots Wire.

“I'm doing well. I am doing really well. You just always have little things that you're working through. That is part of football season, but I feel really good.”

Chances are if it would have been the regular season, Brady would have played last week, but with it being the preseason, there was no reason to risk a worse injury in a game that doesn't count in the standings.

This will be Brady's first time on the field since the Patriots lost to their same opponent in Super Bowl 52. It's only preseason, but Brady will surely still be fired up to face the team that stopped him from adding another Super Bowl championship to his resume.

This is also a good chance for Brady to get on the same page as some of his receivers that came in this offseason, including Cordarrelle Patterson and Eric Decker.
