Tom Brady is denying speculation that he cracked a joke towards New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft in a cameo on Netflix's Paul Rudd comedy “Living With Yourself.” While doing so, he let his feelings known to reporters.

On Saturday, Brady was asked what he thought when he filmed a scene in the TV show, in which he leaves a strip-mall spa and looks around satisfied. The act, to many, was viewed as a reference to Kraft being charged with solicitation of prostitution in a massage parlor early in the offseason.

“That’s not what that was about,” said Brady on Saturday, via Doug Kyed of NESN. I think that was taken out of context just like you’re taking it out of context and trying to make it a story for yourself, which has a negative connotation to it, which I don’t appreciate. It was meant to be something different than that. So, the fact that it’s a distraction or you’re bringing it up is not something I want to be talking about.”

The intent of the clip was never to throw a joke at the expense of Kraft, as the script was written prior to the charges. The scene involves Rudd's character — who didn't know at the time — visiting the massage parlor to better his life, as it is a front for a procedure where his DNA is altered.

“It was shot on a green screen,” said Brady. “It was agreed to a year ago. It was written four years ago. Again, it’s unfortunate that people would choose to think I would ever do something like that about Mr. Kraft. I think that’s a very bad assessment of my relationship with him. I would never do that.”

In all, Brady appears to be the victim of a clip taken out of context.
