Tom Brady has reunited with his former New England Patriots teammates. He has teamed up with Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola this offseason to work together in football. Their work won't be seen together this upcoming season, though.

The former Patriots stars worked together to film scenes for “80 for Brady,” a Paramount Pictures movie where they all play themselves.

The film takes place as the Patriots face the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI and will open in theaters in 2023. Sally Field, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno star in the film. The actresses play a group of octogenarian fans of Brady who travel to Houston to watch him play in the big game.

Brady told Ramin Setoodeh of Variety that getting his Patriots teammates back together made the gig much more enjoyable, even though it was something they had never done together.

“We’ve been part of a lot of battles together…We’ve never been on a movie set together, but it felt like we were back in the locker room when we were there,” Brady says. “Anytime I get my friends involved in things that I’m doing, it makes it that much more enjoyable for me.”

Even as Brady continues his football career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, wearing his old colors will surely please Patriots fans. Whenever he retires — he doesn't exactly know when that is — he will surely remain active in the business world.
