Former New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk just helped the New England Patriots grab their third win with a game-winning walk-off field goal. Folk, who was actually questionable to play on Monday due to a back injury, ended up handing his former team their ninth consecutive loss of the season.
Folk played a total of six seasons with the Jets from 2010-2016 before finally ending up in New England prior to last season. The former Pro Bowler went back to his old stomping grounds and was 3-3 on his kicks on Monday – two of which came in crucial stretches of the game. Talk about a revenge game.
The Jets were already up by 10 in the opening minutes of the final quarter when Folk converted a 29-yard FG to put the Pats within seven. After QB Cam newton scored on his second rushing TD of the night to put the game at a deadlock, Folk stepped up once again and knocked down his game-winning FG at the 51-yard marker with just three seconds left in the game clock.

Both teams are still in the bottom of the AFC East with the Bill Belichick's Patriots having a three-game win margin over the winless Jets. A lot of people are suggesting that though New England won the game, the Jets came out of Monday night as the real winner as they're looking to cement themselves at the bottom of this year's standings to potentially grab the top pick in next year's draft.
