The buzz around the Los Angels Lakers has shifted into high gear after All-Star forward LeBron James made the decision to agree to sign to a four-year, $154 million deal to join the mix.

This has put a high level of scrutiny around what players may potentially be interested in joining the Lakers down the line with James now leading the charge for the franchise. One of those All-Stars could draw chatter is New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis after he recently bought a $7.5 million home near Los Angeles, according to TMZ Sports.

Anthony Davis plays in NOLA, but he'll always have homecourt advantage in Cali … thanks to his new California mansion, complete with an INDOOR BASKETBALL COURT … TMZ Sports has learned

Although there had been no previous talk about Davis being interested in the possibility of joining Los Angeles, the fact that James is aboard sparks that rumblings even if it's just a house purchase in the nearby area. The 25-year-old is entering into the third year of his five-year, $127.1 million deal that contains no player or team options.

There has been no indication that Davis is even considering another team, especially after the Pelicans put together a promising 2017-18 campaign where they reached the Western Conference Finals before being upended by the Golden State Warriors in five games. This should provide him with plenty of reasoning to be optimistic bout about what lies ahead of the franchise.

Nonetheless, it is the simple appeal of playing with James that made this talk even a topic of discussion. The Lakers have a chance to possibly build something special, which could see other superstars in the league make the leap to the team next offseason. In the meantime, this shouldn't draw any level of concern from the Pelicans in any manner whatsoever.
