If the New Orleans Pelicans make point guard Jrue Holiday available in trade talks this summer, the Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic would have interest in acquiring him, according to Sean Deveney of Sporting News.

The Pelicans are widely expected to trade Anthony Davis this summer. Depending on what kind of haul New Orleans gets for Davis, the Pelicans could either enter rebuild mode or try to contend in the rugged West with Holiday as their best player.

League sources say the Suns are considered a top contender should Holiday be made available, the ideal fit for a team badly in need of a multifaceted veteran at the point.

But Orlando would have interest, too, as would Chicago – though Holiday's brother, Justin, did not have a sterling experience with the Bulls this season before being traded to the Grizzlies.

Holiday has three years left on his contract with the Pelicans. He will make $26,131,111 next season, $25,396,111 in 2020-21 and has a player option worth $26,285,000 for the 2021-22 season.

In 67 games this season, Holiday averaged 21.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game. The 28-year-old shot 47.2 percent from the field, 32.5 percent from beyond the arc and 76.8 percent from the free-throw line.

It's going to be an interesting summer for the Pelicans. We'll see what David Griffin first does with Davis.
