JJ Redick recently went on “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” and predictably, the pair had to discuss Redick's New Orleans Pelicans teammate Zion Williamson.

We all know how Williamson possesses a freakish combination of speed, strength, and athleticism — factors that will likely contribute to him becoming a great player in the very near future.

However, this is not what impressed Redick the most when he first met the rookie. In Redick's opinion, what stands out the most for Williamson is his attitude:

“My first impression of him is I have never met a 19- or 20-year-old who is that famous, and that famous from such a young age, who is so level-headed,” Redick said. “Like, he’s not an [expletive]. He doesn’t have a big head. I think the biggest thing for him is just learning to develop the right habits but I have no doubt that he is going to do that.”

Players talking up their teammate's strengths is nothing new, so we will need to take this with a grain of salt. Then again, this is not the first time we've heard about Zion's commendable approach to the game, so it's not hard to get on board with Redick here.

Redick, Williamson, and the rest of the Pelicans will be entering the Florida bubble as the 10th seed in the West.

They are just three and a half games behind the eight-seeded Memphis Grizzlies and are expected to make a strong push for the final postseason spot in a ruthless Western Conference.
