Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul was the latest guest on New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard JJ Redick's podcast. The two reminisced about their days on the Los Angeles Clippers together, during which Redick threw in a joke about Paul George when CP3 brought up Doc Rivers.

Last week, George said Rivers didn't use him correctly on offense with the Clippers last season. The All-Star small forward told Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on “All The Smoke” that Doc was trying to use him like he was Redick or Ray Allen.

Redick, one of the best personalities in the NBA, brought that George-Rivers topic back to the forefront during the podcast. Sure enough, the Pelicans vet and Paul both started laughing.

This is why everyone in the NBA loves JJ Redick. He has absolutely no chill on his podcast and it's why “The Old Man & the Three” has done so well for the Pelicans guard and his co-host Tommy Alter.

Paul George averaged 21.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game for the Clippers during the 2019-20 regular season. However, Doc Rivers and the Clips blew a 3-1 series lead to the Denver Nuggets in the 2020 Western Conference Semifinals at Walt Disney World.

George failed to score a single point in the fourth quarter of Game 7, as did Kawhi Leonard.

The Clippers and Rivers wound up parting ways after the team returned from Orlando, Florida. Chris Paul, who got traded to the Suns this offseason, will face off against his old coach only twice this season since Rivers is back in the Eastern Conference coaching the Philadelphia 76ers.

Redick and the Pelicans, who traded Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks for Eric Bledsoe and a bunch of picks, should be better this season since Zion Williamson is healthy. New Orleans also acquired Steven Adams from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
