We all finally got our first glimpse of New Orleans Pelicans rookie sensation Zion Williamson on Wednesday, as he made his much-awaited NBA debut against the San Antonio Spurs. The 19-year-old logged only 18 minutes of play, but boy did he make his time on the floor count.

Twitterverse went crazy about Zion Williamson, especially when he remarkably scored 17 straight points in the fourth quarter to help his side rally against a formidable Spurs side. So much so, that even some of the stars of the NFL could not help but share their excitement on social media.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson sent out a very brief tweet, but the fire emojis he used were enough to tell how impressed he was with Williamson.

The same could be said for Michael Thomas of the New Orleans Saints, who also appeared to be delighted with the performance of his fellow NOLA athlete.

Williamson knocked down all four of his attempts from deep on the evening, which is what legendary wide receiver Terrell Owens opted to focus on. Based on his tweet below, to say that the retired six-time Pro Bowl selection is excited about Zion's potential would be an understatement.

Williamson clocked out with 22 points on an extremely efficient 8-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-4 from downtown. The first overall pick also snagged seven boards and dished out three dimes in his limited time on the court. He did turn the ball over five times, though, but this is probably something we can chalk off as some first-game jitters.

All in all, Zion and the Pelicans could not have wished for a more tremendous debut for their future cornerstone superstar.
