The New Orleans Pelicans still do not have first overall pick Zion Williamson on the court just yet, but that does not mean they can't play without athletic marvels. Rookie center Jaxson Hayes met second-year New York Knicks forward Kevin Knox at the top of the summit in the second quarter of the two teams' Friday night matchup, blocking the 2018 draft's ninth overall pick (via Dime).

Knox, 20, has already been struggling in his second season with the Knicks, and his latest rejection from Hayes definitely does not help the forward's confidence levels.

The 19-year-old Jaxson Hayes, selected with the eight pick and acquired from the Hawks by the Pelicans in the 2019 draft, is averaging 8.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks a game for New Orleans. Hayes had a string of starts for the Pelicans earlier this season, but with veteran big man Derrick Favors healthy, the rookie center has adjusted back to coming off the bench.
