After teasing the league with his three-point shooting in his NBA debut, New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson finally unleashed his nuclear athleticism against the Denver Nuggets at the Smoothie King Arena on Friday.

At the 9:55 mark of the third quarter, Nuggets guard Malik Beasley tried to extend the visitors' lead to double figures by throwing up a floater against his initial defender JJ Redick.

However, the springy Williamson came over the weakside and timed his teardrop perfectly, emphatically rejecting the ball with a volleyball-like spike. Williamson's block sent the home crowd in a frenzy, as the ball reached the fourth row.

Williamson's amazing defensive effort fired up the Pelicans, but they were still unable to get the W at the end of the day. The 19-year-old Duke alum also completed a highlight alley-oop lob from Jrue Holiday in the first quarter.

Williamson finished with a strong performance of 15 points and five rebounds in 25 minutes of action. The Pelicans tasted defeat for the second game in a row, 106-113.
