The Washington Redskins are in desperate need of a wide receiver, and Pro Football Focus thinks they should target Emmanuel Sanders to fill that hole.

Sanders is set to be a free agent this offseason, and in a class that includes big-name wide outs such as Amari Cooper and A.J. Green, Sanders may fly under the radar and could be picked up on a short-term deal.

The 32-year-old split this past season between the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers, catching 66 passes for 869 yards and five touchdowns.

Sanders began the year with the Broncos, but was traded to the 49ers at the Week 8 deadline and helped take San Francisco all the way to the Super Bowl.

However, Sanders is a year removed from a torn Achilles, and given that he is on the wrong side of 30, teams may be reluctant to give him a long-term deal or even a high annual salary.

That could open the door for other clubs to potentially snag Sanders on a bargain contract.

Of course, Sanders showed this past year that he is still very productive, and he managed to play in every game in spite of recovering from an Achilles injury.

With Dwayne Haskins badly needing some weapons to throw to other than Terry McLaurin, Sanders could be a good fit and would also provide the locker room with a stable veteran presence.

Sanders spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers before linking up with Denver in 2014, where he proceeded to make a couple of Pro Bowl appearances.
