The Philadelphia Eagles somehow still made it into the playoffs, even though they lost a lot of their talent throughout the season. It didn't take long once the playoffs rolled around for the Eagles to struggle and be knocked out.

With the focus now on the offseason, there are some major needs the Eagles needs to work on to get the team better. Let's breakdown the three biggest needs the team needs to address.

3. A clean bill of health

Carson Wentz, Eagles

The Eagles have been dealing with significant injury problems. It's clear they are in need of taking a long hard look at what is causing so many of the injuries.

A lot of the injuries are freak injuries that can't really be controlled, but maybe there is an underlying issue that can be fixed to help try to prevent some of these injuries.

Maybe some changes in coaching technique or practice schedules could help prevent some of the injuries. It might not solve all of them, but if they can even prevent 30 percent of the injuries from the 2019 season, they will be in good shape next season.

2. Wide receivers

Eagles, Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor
CP

The team has a lot of questions surrounding the wide receiver position. Nelson Agholor is probably gone, could Alshon Jeffrey and DeSean Jackson follow him?

Even if Jeffrey and Jackson are back, that isn't enough. Greg Ward looks like he has a future with the team, but he is a good role player, not a superstar.

This is a loaded draft class and the Eagles would be smart, to use one or two of their picks on a wide receiver to give Carson Wentz

1. Cornerback

Jalen Mills
CP

Coming into the 2019 season the team knew cornerback was going to be an issue, and it became a glaring issue as the season went on. Jalen Mills is the best cornerback this team has, but he is a free agent and will probably be in line for a big contract, something the Eagles might not be willing to give him.

Even if they can get Mills back, that isn't going to be enough to improve the cornerback position. They probably need to sign two cornerbacks in free agency, and also use one of their top picks in the draft to try and find someone they can plug in quickly.

If the team doesn't make these improvements, it could be another disappointing year next season.
