The Detroit Pistons are in a rough patch right now, but center Andre Drummond is trying to be the team's voice of reason.

After finishing a road trip 0-4, the Pistons moved to fourth in the Eastern Conference at 14-10. But Drummond had a message for his team after coming out of the trip, per Rod Beard of the Detroit News.

“We have to keep our heads up. We can’t allow these losses to get us down. It’s a long season and we had a lot of success early in the year,” Drummond said. “This stretch is bound to happen and what we do with these rough patches will really show our character. We have to continue to play hard and stay ready.”

Detroit has been a pleasant surprise so far this season. But in their last 10 games, they are just 4-6.

And it won't get any easier any time soon for the Pistons. Their next two games are against the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics. Both of those games are at home.

The team features a host of young players, which could be an explanation for Detroit's recent slide. But positive words from Drummond could calm them down and right the ship in time.
