Andre Drummond was absolutely unstoppable as he put up 26 points, 22 rebounds, six assists, and four steals to power the Detroit Pistons past the league-leading Boston Celtics, 118-108.

Drummond’s amazing stat line is so rare that he became the first player since the great Charles Barkley in 1990 to come up with such ridiculous numbers.

Furthermore, Andre Drummond was also the first visiting player to dominate the Celtics so thoroughly in Boston since a certain Wilt Chamberlain did so 50 years ago, which is even more impressive company.

And so Drummond’s remarkable bounce-back season continues. He’s now averaging 14.4 points, a career-high 15.6 rebounds, and a career-best 3.5 assists as he’s taken his game to another level. The Pistons have also jumped up to another level as a result, as they are currently second in the East at 13-6.

Andre Drummond and the Pistons likely went a long way toward silencing their remaining doubters by defeating the Celtics, who are owners of the league’s best defense and are much-improved in terms of their rebounding, in such an impressive fashion.

As long as Drummond continues to play at such a high level and produces more Hall-of-Fame-caliber performances, the Pistons should be right up there among the best in the East for the foreseeable future.
