With the 2017-18 NBA season in progress, Avery Bradley has been accused of sexual assault. The incident allegedly occurred during the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers when Bradley was still a member of the Boston Celtics, according to TMZ:

Here's what we know … the allegation stems from an incident on May 23 in Cleveland, Ohio. The woman involved claimed Bradley sexually assaulted her while she was passed out drunk.

Bradley paid a settlement to the reality star, but it is unclear what the final amount was as it reportedly reached as high as $400,000, according to TMZ:

At one point in the negotiations, the parties considered resolving the matter for $400,000 … but it's unclear what number Bradley ultimately agreed to pay. We're told the final figure was high.

Bradley's lawyer, Brian Wolf of Lavely & Singer, released the following statement acknowledging the confidentiality agreement between the two parties to TMZ:

“Mr. Bradley absolutely denies having engaged in wrongdoing whatsoever. The confidentiality agreement specifically refutes and denies the validity of all allegations of any wrongful conduct by Mr. Bradley. The sole purpose of the agreement was to protect the reputation and privacy of Mr. Bradley and his family.”

At this time, there have been no public statements from the NBA, Celtics, or Detroit Pistons. With the Pistons hosting the San Antonio Spurs on Dec. 30, it remains to be seen what the next steps are for the 27-year-old.
