The Detroit Pistons notched a huge win on Sunday night after upsetting the surging Cleveland Cavaliers, 115-105. The Pistons unleashed a furious barrage in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Cavaliers, 31-17 to complete the stunning victory.
Rookie Cade Cunningham atoned for his scoreless first half by finishing with an impressive triple-double. He tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and four steals. In the process, he entered the Pistons' history books by being the first player in team history to record multiple triple-doubles in his rookie season, according to StatMuse.

After their win over the Cavaliers, the Pistons firebrand said he doesn't get too rattled when he struggles (via ESPN).

“I can't let myself be a prisoner to whatever happens in the first half. We made adjustments, and they made adjustments, and I have to be ready to do what I need to do. I have to throw away the first half.”
After a slow start to the season, wherein he shot terribly from the field, Cunningham has found his groove. The no. 1 overall pick out of Oklahoma State has displayed versatility with his size as a guard, something scouts marveled about before he was selected by the Pistons.
The 20-year-old Cunningham isn't even at legal drinking age yet, but he's truly shown maturity with the Pistons, especially with star Jerami Grant sidelined due to a thumb injury. If the team deals Grant before the NBA trade deadline, it would be clear that they're handing the keys to Cunningham.
