Detroit Pistons guard Langston Galloway decided to embrace the holiday spirit by showing off an awesome pair of kicks in Sunday's game against the Atlanta Hawks.

It's always great to see NBA players have some fun around Christmas time, and that usually means bringing out some cool gear to add another layer of holiday flavor.

Galloway chose to join the mix against the Hawks, as he unveiled Grinch-themed shoes that stood out in a big way while he was on the court.

Unfortunately, these fancy sneakers weren't enough to help Detroit pick up the win, as the Hawks grabbed a narrow 98-95 victory at Little Caesars Arena.

But, it does appear that the shoes helped Galloway produce excellent numbers off the bench. He scored a team-high 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting in 22 minutes of action, which marked his third-highest scoring output of the season.

Reggie Jackson finished with 16 points, and Andre Drummond added another double-double to his tally with 13 points and 15 rebounds while contributing five blocks.

As for the Hawks, they were led by Vince Carter, who notched 18 points while knocking down 3 of 9 attempts from long range.

After a solid 13-7 start, Detroit just hasn't been able to find its way since picking up a huge 111-102 win over the Golden State Warriors back on Dec. 1.

Galloway and company will hope that the Christmas break will allow them to get refocused for what will be a crucial stretch of games over the next few weeks.

The Pistons will return to the court on Wednesday night to take on the Washington Wizards.
