Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin has been putting the summer to good use. Not only is he working hard to keep his basketball acumen on point, but the 29-year-old has also been putting in work to fine-tune his comedy skills.

Griffin recently went head-to-head against comedian Jeff Ross on Comedy Central's Roast Battle, and the 6-foot-10 forward did not disappoint. Here's a highlight of Griffin and his NSFW rant about his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers. This is courtesy of ClutchPoints' very own Tomer Azarly.

Blake Griffin absolutely played to the crowd and knew which strings to pull. He did not hold back about his thoughts on his former team, and perhaps used comedy as a perfect avenue to express how he really feels about how things transpired a couple of months ago.

Prior to his unceremonious exit in January of this year, Griffin was the cornerstone of the Clippers franchise. The Lob City-era in L.A. was centered around him, and at one point, he was considered to be untouchable. However, after six and a half seasons with nothing more to show for than a number of unsuccessful trips to the Western Conference Semifinals, the team finally decided to pull the trigger on Griffin's exit.

It appears that there's more to this deal than we have been led to believe. Perhaps Griffin felt blindsided by the trade, or maybe their separation was less than amicable. Unless either party is willing to tell all, then we are left with nothing more than speculations.
