PSG head into the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday with a 1-0 lead on aggregate against Real Madrid, but they could be without a massive piece of their attack at the Bernabeu.
Talisman Kylian Mbappe recently picked up a knock in training and is doubtful to feature against Los Blancos. Via Goal:
This is a serious blow for PSG because Mbappe has been absolutely brilliant for the side this season. He scored the winner in the return fixture a couple of weeks ago with a world-class solo effort and has already netted 19 goals domestically and in Europe, while also handing out 14 assists.
Paris felt the absence of Mbappe on Saturday as he was forced to miss out on a big clash with Nice due to suspension. The league leaders were shocked by the hosts and lacked firepower in the final third without Mbappe.
The 23-year-old went in for a 50-50 tackle in training on Monday and immediately went down with serious pain in his foot. At first, PSG doctors feared a fracture, but thankfully, that's not the case. With just under two days until the heavyweight encounter though, Mbappe is in a race against time to be fit.
If the youngster does indeed miss out, the likes of Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Angel di Maria will be relied upon to step up and deliver up top in what should be a tantalizing fixture.
