The NFL has continued to take a stern approach when it comes to its policy concerning performance-enhancing drugs over the last several years that has seen many players be suspended for violations. It has now taken another turn with the league now offering the potential for players to snitch on their teammates who are using performance-enhancing drugs.

This latest addition to the policy has led to several NFL players catching wind of it that includes a pair of Oakland Raiders in Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr and defensive end Bruce Irvin deciding to take to social media to clown the idea that anyone in the league would go that route.

This new part of the performance-enhancing drug policy is the league's attempt at having a cleaner crop of players, but it hard to envision that this will be a method that helps them in that effort. There is likely not many players that are willing to break their teammate's trust and create tension in the locker room with that type of move that could hurt more than just a player being out of the mix for a few weeks.

It is a divisive way that could mess with the chemistry of a team from the inside out that could do more harm to the core of a franchise rather than help them create a more clean environment. There are likely many other players that had the same reaction that both Carr and Irvin had toward this latest changes to help sort out those who are using performance-enhancing drugs to get an edge over their opponents.

Ultimately, only time will tell if this new offer that the league is presenting will help further regulate the ruling more strictly in what has continued to be an ongoing problem for quite some time.
