The Oakland Raiders have had a busy offseason, but none of their acquisitions have been discussed as much as wide receiver Antonio Brown, whom they acquired in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But what about the signing of offensive lineman Trent Brown?

Brown is one of the top offensive tackles in the game, so his mere presence should help the Raiders' offense in both the ground game and the aerial attack.

Oakland quarterback Derek Carr understands the importance of a strong offensive line, which is why he is excited that Brown is aboard:

“It's awesome to have those guys, but you have to have someone like a Trent Brown,” Carr said during a live chat session on YouTube. “You have to have someone that can give you a little bit of time to throw the ball and things like that. It's amazing to see that we were able to get the top tackle in free agency, let alone get all of these weapons and those kinds of things. It's just been awesome to see our team grow.”

Carr was sacked 52 times this past season, so, obviously, any extra protection he gets heading into 2019 will be great.

Brown spent the 2018 campaign with the New England Patriots, helping provide Tom Brady with superb pass protection during the Patriots' run to their sixth Super Bowl title.

Prior to arriving in New England this past season, Brown spent the first three years of his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers but had some difficulty staying healthy.
