The Oakland Raiders have been longing to get Antonio Brown back on the field with the team. Brown has returned to practice this week and Jon Gruden discussed the progress that the All-Pro receiver has made so far.

After his crazy hot-air ballon arrival to training camp, Brown began to miss practices due to an undisclosed foot injury. Soon after, reports surfaced that the Raiders receiver had gotten frostbite on his feet due to a cryotherapy mishap.

Along with his unusual occurrence to his feet, Brown was also away from the team because of a dispute between him and the NFL pertaining to the helmet he was going to wear in 2019. Brown was trying to wear the helmet he has worn his entire career but the NFL was denying his request.

In the end, Brown filed two grievances towards the NFL for his helmet and lost both of them. Now, Brown is wearing a new helmet and seems to be back with the team in practice.

While Brown was away from the team, the newly acquired receiver was missing valuable time to get acclimated in the offense. Additionally, Brown will need to build some rapport with Derek Carr.

Gruden understands that his top receiver will need to get on the same page as the team upon his return. The fiery head coach doesn't seem to be worried about where Brown is on his progress in the offense.

Earlier this offseason, the Raiders traded for Brown and signed him to a new long-term contract.

Therefore, they are hoping that Brown puts all of the drama behind him and shifts his focus to helping the team win games.
