The Oakland Raiders and former Pro Bowl wide receiver Jordy Nelson have agreed to a two-year deal worth $15 million with $13 million guaranteed, according to former NFL wide receiver James Jones.

This signing comes shortly after the Raiders held a formal visit with the veteran wideout on Wednesday, which included Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr. Nelson reportedly had significant interest from the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, and New England Patriots.

Nelson was released out of the final year of his four-year, $39 million contract by the Green Bay Packers earlier this week after the team agreed to a three-year deal with All-Pro tight end Jimmy Graham. The 32-year-old spent his first 10 years of career in Green Bay, where he became one of the most productive wide receivers in the league.

He is coming off a down season in terms of production, hauling in only 53 receptions for 482 receiving yards and six touchdowns. This marked his fewest catches and receiving yards since the 2010 season. However, what should be noted is that Rodgers missed a significant chunk of the season due to a broken collarbone, and Nelson was unable to get truly on the same page as backup Brett Hundley.

Prior to the 2017 campaign, Nelson put up three consecutive campaigns with at least 85 catches and 1,200 receiving yards and eight touchdown receptions. In fact, he has notched more than 1,000 receiving yards four times, with each year seeing him surpass more than 1,200 receiving yards

His addition now signals the end of veteran wide receiver Michael Crabtree's tenure in Oakland after just two seasons. Crabtree was set to enter the third year of his four-year, $34 million deal. His departure frees up an even larger role in the passing game for Nelson to playing alongside former Pro Bowl wideout Amari Cooper over the next two seasons. On top of that, this move frees up an additional $7.7 million in cap space to help them pay for Nelson's new deal.
