The Oakland Raiders have had a very productive offseason, but an addition they are likely very excited about is safety Lamarcus Joyner. He spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Rams, but now gets a chance to bring his talents to a team in dire need of a defensive presence.

“The ability just comes from the belief in me. Coach Gruden, just bringing me in here and believing that I'm one of the guys that can help get it done on Sunday. So if I have to move to D-line, just those guys believing in me, I'm going to get the job done.”

The Raiders need defensive help, and it's likely that all three first-round draft picks the team possesses will be used to address the defense. Joyner is a solid safety and a huge addition to the team. Joyner shared his excitement about being with the team, immersed in the culture of the Raiders.

“This place is legendary, just when you look at the all-time greats, the former legendary players that have been here. The prestige that the organization has. I'm just proud to be another guy that walked through here to make his presence felt and known. Just to be an addition to the foundation that some of these guys who have already been here have built, is going to be great for me. I just get to add what I can bring to the table and follow those guys, and we all get it done together.”

Ed Oliver, Josh Allen, and Quinnen Williams could be difference-makers for the Raiders if drafted by the Silver and Black. Head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock are evaluating players who could turn the team's misfortunes around, but Lamarcus Joyner gives the Raiders a foundation to build on.
