The Las Vegas Raiders have seen the Denver Broncos make a massive trade that brought Russell Wilson to the AFC West. Now it's their turn to pull some strings in the offseason, though these latest moves from the Raiders aren't exactly splashy ones.

Via Field Yates of ESPN:

The Raiders have restructured the contracts of LT Kolton Miller and RB Kenyan Drake, creating $14.525M in 2022 cap space, per source.

Still, over $14 million of additional space on their cap room is very much welcome for the Raiders, who are looking to build on a playoff appearance in the 2021 NFL season.  These maneuvers by Las Vegas' front office could be part of a setup for a much bigger move soon.

Drake was signed by the Raiders to a two-year deal worth $11 million in 2021. The 28-year-old running back played in only 12 games last season, as he was not able to finish the campaign healthy after suffering a broken right ankle in December. He is expected to play a backup role to Josh Jacobs in the coming season where he'll try to impress enough to warrant another contract from the Raiders.

As for Miller, who inked a three-year contract amounting to $54 million also in 2021, he is coming off a sound season with the Raiders' offensive line.
