The Oakland Raiders have worked out free-agent running back LeGarrette Blount, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

Blount last played in the NFL with the Detroit Lions last season, rushing for 418 yards and five touchdowns while averaging a meager 2.7 yards per carry.

The 32-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Oregon, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010.

He had a very impressive rookie campaign, racking up 1,007 yards and six scores while registering five yards per attempt. He then took a bit of a step back during his sophomore year, totaling 781 yards and five touchdowns on the ground, logging 4.2 yards per tote.

Blount spent the first three years of his career with the Buccaneers before joining the New England Patriots in 2013, where he registered 772 yards and seven scores while recording five yards per carry.

He then signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers that ensuing offseason but was released after 11 games and proceeded to sign back with the Patriots, where he appeared in five contests and ended up contributing to a Super Bowl title.

Blount remained with the Pats through 2016, when he posted 1,161 yards and a league-leading 18 rushing touchdowns, averaging 3.9 yards per attempt en route to another Super Bowl championship.

The Madison, Fl. native then joined the Philadelphia Eagles for one season in 2017, finishing with 766 yards and a couple of scores. He ended up winning his third Super Bowl that season, beating his former Patriots squad for the title.

The Raiders have gotten off to a 3-2 start.
