The Oakland Raiders have been one of the most disappointing teams during the first half of the season. After going 12-4 last season, which saw them make the playoffs for the first time in 14 years, they are just 3-5 after losing five of their last six games. According to NBC Bay Area, safety Reggie Nelson realizes the team is running out of time to turn things around and possibly make the postseason again.

“We have to get back to winning, just being us and playing fast,” safety Reggie Nelson said. “Jack (Del Rio) has high expectations for us, and they should be high. We have a lot of work to do. That’s what we plan on doing in an attempt to turn this thing around. It’s no secret that we’re running out of time.”

Nelson and the rest of the Raiders defense have remained a big weakness this season, but the offense’s decline has been surprising. Oakland is currently averaging just 21.1 points and 317.8 total yards per game, which both rank just 20th in the NFL.

That doesn't exactly feel like the same offense that aided Oakland last season. But that is only because it hasn't been.

Not only do the Raiders need to figure things out on both sides of the ball, they’ll have to do it while playing a very tough second-half schedule.

Apart from their three AFC West rivals, which includes the 6-2 Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead, they also play the NFL-leading Philadelphia Eagles (7-1), the New England Patriots (6-2), and the Dallas Cowboys (4-3) in their final eight games.
