The Oakland Raiders may be on the verge of trading yet another star player. The team appears to ready to move on from wide receiver Amari Cooper with the Dallas Cowboys emerging as a potential suitor for the former first-round pick.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Cowboys are interested in acquiring Cooper, and the Alabama product won't be looking for a new contract right away if acquired.

The Cowboys are indeed making calls regarding a potential trade for Raiders receiver Amari Cooper. And the Raiders indeed still want a first-round pick for Cooper.

Per a league source, the Cowboys wouldn’t inherit (if a deal gets done) a player who would be clamoring instantly or immediately for a new contract.

In his second stint with the Raiders, Jon Gruden has cleaned house. The one-time Super Bowl champion is trying to mold this storied franchise back into the title contender it was when he was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2002. The team has made some questionable moves under Gruden with the trading of superstar Khalil Mack being the most puzzling, but sending Cooper elsewhere may be another one that gets the fanbase frustrated about the direction of the team.

This season has been a forgettable one for Cooper thus far with the wideout catching only 22 passes for 280 yards and a touchdown in six games. Gruden let it be known before the season that Cooper would be heavily involved in the offense this season, but that just hasn't been the case and now it may only be a matter of time before the young wide receiver is headed elsewhere.
