The Los Angeles Rams have spent the last two weeks preparing for Super Bowl LVI. They are set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday night. Unfortunately, Tyler Higbee won't be suiting up for the big game.

The Rams announced their latest transactions to and from the injured reserve. In the Friday afternoon tweet, Higbee was one of two players listed on the Injured Reserve.

Tackle Joseph Noteboom joins the tight end on the Reserve. Meanwhile, running back Darrell Henderson Jr. and nose tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day are good to go for the big game.

Higbee suffered an MCL sprain in the Rams' NFC Championship Game win over the San Francisco 49ers two weeks ago. On Monday, Rams head coach Sean McVay was pessimistic about the chance that Higbee would be able to suit up for practice, let alone the biggest game of the year.

This is a huge loss for the Rams' offense, and the news from Cincinnati makes it even worse. C.J. Uzomah, the top tight end for the Bengals, is likely playing on Sunday. According to ESPN NFL insider Field Yates, he was a limited participant in practice on Thursday.

The injury updates and availability of both tight ends are critical pieces to the outcome of Sunday night's game.

Higbee had 61 receptions for 560 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season. His absence on the field Sunday will be extremely noticeable for the Rams.
