The San Francisco 49ers lost a heartbreaker to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship, 20-17 Sunday. After the game, 49ers superstar Deebo Samuel was embraced by Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, as they shared what appeared to be an emotional moment.

The NFC Championship came down to the wire. The Rams trailed 17-7 late in the second half, but Matthew Stafford and the Rams came back to earn a trip to the Super Bowl. Right after the game, Beckham Jr. is seen on the sidelines embracing Deebo Samuel.

The 49ers receiver had another stellar game for San Francisco in the loss. He finished the game with four catches for 72 yards and a touchdown. He also chipped in with seven carries for 26 yards.

After the Rams took a 7-0 lead, the 49ers bounced right back. Samuel took a wide receiver screen 44 yards for the touchdown. His playmaking was on full display as he broke multiple tackles and then showed off his speed. However, the Rams mostly kept him in check beyond that.

Meanwhile, Beckham Jr. posted his best game in years. He finished with nine catches on 11 targets for 113 yards. It was Beckham Jr.'s first time in 33 games that he surpassed 100 yards receiving. Beckham Jr. is now headed to the first Super Bowl of his pro career.

It's a devastating loss to Samuel and San Francisco. They were one win from reaching the Super Bowl for the second time in four years. Instead, they head into the offseason with numerous questions.
