Odell Beckham Jr. is no stranger to the spotlight. But even he admits that joining the Los Angeles Rams at this point of the year presents a unique challenge for him.

The newest Rams wide receiver was vocal on the adjustment necessary on his end to make an impact for his new team as seamlessly as possible.

Via Mike Florio of PFT:

“I’ve never been to a different team in the middle of a season,” he said. “Guys have been through training camp. You’ve bonded, you’ve come together as a team. It’s definitely a different feeling, but we’re all pros and I just have to be a pro in this situation and find ways to get acclimated and get the plays and everything down as fast as I can and do the best to help this team find ways to win.”

Being such a high-profile acquisition for the Rams, there's an obvious expectation for Odell Beckham Jr. to produce. But fans need to remember that this isn't Madden. OBJ needs to learn an entirely new playbook, learn his quarterback's tendencies, and build chemistry with the coach and roster all in such a brief span of time.

His workload is sure to be much heavier than anticipated with the latest news that Rams WR Robert Woods suffered a season-ending ACL injury in practice. OBJ is expected to play for the Rams' Monday Night Football tilt against the San Francisco 49ers, but it remains to be seen just how much Sean McVay will rely on his new addition right away.

“That’s up to Coach,” Beckham said on playing against the 49ers. “Right now, I’m trying to find ways to learn the playbook as fast as possible. If there’s something he needs me to do, I’m always willing to do whatever it is. So again, I guess we’ll see come Monday.”

The Rams have looked like one of the strongest Super Bowl contenders this season. Once Odell Beckham Jr. gets acclimated, they're bound to only get even more terrifying.
