The Toronto Raptors take on the Portland Trail Blazers Friday night in Portland and star small forward Kawhi Leonard is questionable to play with a hip injury.

Kawhi Leonard has sat out the previous two games with the hip ailment. The Raptors haven't missed a beat, though, as Toronto has beaten the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors without their best player in the lineup.

The Raptors have the best record in the NBA at 23-7. Kawhi Leonard is averaging 26.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game on the season. The two-time All-Star is shooting 48.8 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from beyond the arc and 85.9 percent from the free-throw line.

It's a long NBA season, so there's no point for the Raptors to play Leonard if he isn't 100 percent. After only playing in nine games last year with the San Antonio Spurs due to a lingering quadriceps injury, Leonard has already shown that he's back to his old self. As everyone knows, Leonard can become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends if he declines his 2019-20 player option with the club.

Toronto finishes their four-game West Coast road trip on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. Fred VanVleet has been starting for the Raptors the last two games.
