Toronto's own Drake immediately linked up with the Toronto Raptors' newly acquired rookies Scottie Barnes and Dalano Banton to give them both a warm welcome to the city. Two days after both young prospects were drafted to the franchise, it seems that they're already warming up as the newest members of the Raps and their arrival has now gotten the approval from the team's biggest devotee in Drake.

The rapper took time off from the studio to chat with Barnes and Dalano and spend some quality time with his team's new recruits. That's not a bad way to start your professional career (via Bleacher Report):

Scottie Barnes was one of the biggest snags during the 2021 NBA Draft. The athletic 19-year-old was picked up as the Raptors' fourth overall pick and is looking to add some depth off of head coach Nick Nurse's roster. Though a lot of folks were surprised that the team passed on Jalen Suggs from Gonzaga University, the Barnes pick-up looks great as his length and versatility should be huge for the Raptors as they try to bounce back from an awful 2020-2021 campaign.

On the other hand, it was a warm homecoming part for the Raptors' other rookie Dalano Banton. The Toronto-born guard was the franchise's first-ever Canadian selection and the Raptors didn't let the opportunity pass when Banton's name was still available at the 46th pick. Similar to what Barnes brings to the table, the 21-year-old rookie from the University of Nebraska is somewhat of a positionless player that can do everything on the floor.

The future is definitely bright in Toronto.
