Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry made his highly-anticipated return from a six-game absence on Sunday in a 121-105 victory against the Indiana Pacers.

The 32-year-old had been out of action nursing a nagging back injury, and according to Lowry himself, he expects the pain to persist for the foreseeable future.

Lowry has been struggling with injuries over the past month. Prior to his two-week layoff due to the back injury, the 6-foot-1 guard was also out of action for four games due to a thigh injury in mid-December.

Nonetheless, Lowry looked great in his return to action on Sunday. The four-time All-Star notched 12 points (on 4-of-10 shooting), two three-pointers, three rebounds, eight assists, three steals, one block, and four turnovers in a full workload over 32 minutes of action.

Raptors head coach Nick Nurse opted to rest Kawhi Leonard against the Pacers, and Lowry was expected to lead the charge for the team. The former All-NBA guard gladly obliged and looked like he had barely missed a beat.

As Lowry admitted, however, he is not yet 100 percent. His back injury continues to bother him, and at this point, it will be a matter of pain management for Lowry and the team physios.

With the win, the Raptors improve to 30-12 on the season and continue to hold the best win-loss record in the entire league.

Lowry and company are slated to take the court again on Tuesday when they host the Atlanta Hawks.
