Toronto Raptors talent Kyle Lowry made his best Tom Brady/Michael Vick impersonation early in this playoff series, connecting with Pascal Siakam for a touchdown — ahem, lead pass — in the opening moments of Game 1 against the Brooklyn Nets.

Siakam didn't shoot the ball all that well, only collecting 18 points after going 4-of-13 from the floor, but this easy lay-in was a highlight-worthy moment between the veteran Raptors point guard and the young stud:

“It was tough. I didn’t think I was going to catch it,” said Siakam after the Raptors win, according to Eric Koreen of The Athletic. “That reminded me of rookie year right there. Good pass.”

Lowry thought of the Raptors play as a work of art:

“It was me, Tom Brady, (Michael) Vick, all those great quarterbacks out there,” said Raptors star Kyle Lowry of the play. “That was me. That’s what we do. That’s what we do, us great quarterbacks.

“I knew I would (complete the pass). P doesn’t run like he used to. I knew the opportunity was there. Honestly, I trust Pascal with the hands (out) of everybody. I think he has some of the best hands in the NBA. … It felt good when it was coming out of my hands. If I turn the ball over, I turn it over. I trust my (Raptors) teammates. They’re always going to make the right plays. It was kind of a booster for us to get us going a little bit more, to get Pascal an easier bucket. It was fun.”

While it was Fred VanVleet stealing the show for the Raptors, as Lowry and Siakam combined to shoot 7-of-27 from the floor – this Patriot-esque connection between the two All-Stars is worthy of making this year's highlight reel.
