Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry says his left thumb injury is really affecting his passing ability.

Lowry suffered the injury during the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Philadelphia 76ers. The All-Star guard say he'll take care of the injury in the summer, hinting he might have to undergo a minor procedure of some sort.

“It's about passing. I'm a big passer,” Lowry said during an appearance on ESPN's The Jump. “You know, the flicking of the passing, the kind of — the ball movement, handling the ball. During the game, honestly, I can't feel my thumb.

“I'll have to take care of it after the season but I don't want to talk about it as much. I haven't complained about it, I won't complain about it, I don't care about it; I'm going to continue to do the things I need to do to make sure I can play at a high level. And that's it.”

Game 1 of the NBA Finals is on Thursday in Toronto. Lowry and the Raptors are playing in their first ever NBA Finals.

In the Eastern Conference playoffs, Lowry averaged 14.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 35.5 percent from beyond the arc and 80.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Lowry will be tasked with the challenge of slowing down Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, who is averaging 27.3 points in the postseason.
