Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri knows what he bargained for and won't create false expectation of his star addition Kawhi Leonard. The Klaw has been historically a quiet player who often doesn't say more than what's necessary, and at times he's even painfully quiet when media inquires for further depth in a subject.

“He's a quiet kid. Good luck to (the media) with him and OG [Anunoby]. I wish you all the best,” said Ujiri, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN. “He's just quiet. They're just like that. We cannot all be the same kind of people. His concentration is basketball, which is what you want. He's a basketball junkie.”

Ujiri will have no issues with how much Leonard speaks, as long as he does his talking on the court and returns to his All-Star self this season after playing only nine games in 2017-18 due to a quad injury.

This, however, presents a major problem for members of the media, who will be asking all the right questions in hopes to uncover the saga that brought him to Toronto in a trade that sent DeMar DeRozan and Jakob Poeltl to the San Antonio Spurs.

Any hopes of uncovering the truth will likely go out of the window when it comes to Leonard — as prying a contrite answer from his lips will be as tough as it proved to be for the Spurs to get a timetable on his impending return to the court.

The good news is Leonard appears healthy and ready to go as training camp begins.
