Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri has a big task ahead of himself, needing to lock down his newest acquisition Kawhi Leonard after he becomes a free agent by the end of this upcoming season.

Ujiri's plan is far from complex, just to be as genuine as possible and sell him on the culture he's helped build throughout the years.

“We are who we are and we are going to be prepared and make things good and smooth,” Masai Ujiri told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on the latest episode of The Woj Pod. “You want to be genuine, you want to be real. This is who we are. We might not be the best ones in weather but we might be the best ones in many other places.”

“I think the diversity, the city, the uniqueness of a place like that. Our fans, the atmosphere; I think those things are so unique and it’s beginning to show everywhere that this place is a little unique. You have to put the basketball together and maybe before the basketball wasn’t a part of it but I know there’s a part of him that I’m sure thinks that this team has a chance with his team-mates and seeing how hard these guys are working.”

Danny Green, who was traded along with Kawhi Leonard, noted his longtime teammate would end up loving Toronto and find it hard not to stay — thought it's worthy to note Green has been wrong before, having predicted that Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs would solve their differences before the season starts.

We all know how that went down…
