After the mid-season move that sent Normal Powell to the Portland Trail Blazers, Gary Trent Jr. was on the other end going from Portland to the Toronto Raptors. The instant shock of being traded so quickly without time to prepare can be tough for many. For Trent Jr., he has found a new teammate to vibe with in OG Anunoby.

Ah, the bond over NBA 2K. That's a bond unlike any other but for those who know, the friendships that are formed over playing the game are the same ones torn apart once the game is played against one another. The good vibes go out the window, replaced by endless trash-talking.

Portland's move to acquire Powell should be a boost to a lineup and a team that is trying to take home a Western Conference title. While all the attention will be spent on the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers, and even a sprinkle on the conference-leading Utah Jazz, Portland likely will continue to fly under the radar as the regular season winds down.

Trent Jr. had really settled in on the roster in Portland, carving out a role as a spot-up three-point shooter who could guard multiple positions on the other end.

In 41 games with the Trail Blazers this year, Trent Jr. was averaging 15 points per game on 39% shooting from the 3-point range. The third-year guard out of Duke will look to carry that momentum over to the Raptors.
