When you're an NBA player, you are expected to have the best technology available because, well, you can afford it. Not in the case of Toronto Raptors wing Patrick McCaw, who heard an earful from teammate Serge Ibaka for his, uh, less than stellar cell phone that clearly has some issues:

The funniest part of this interaction is how McCaw completely ignored Ibaka until Ibaka said “you make too much money for this.”

To be fair to McCaw, he certainly doesn't have as much dough as Ibaka, but he is earning $4 million this season, so yeah; he has more than enough to get a phone that actually works.

But props to McCaw for his sense of sentimentality. Or maybe he's just cheap.

Or maybe he just doesn't feel like going to the store, waiting forever for service and then sitting down and having to say “no” to all of the unnecessary accessories the employees try to sell you.

If that's the case, then I can't blame him.

Anyway, McCaw has played in 17 games and made 11 starts for the Raptors this season, averaging 6.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists over 27.8 minutes per game while shooting 44.1 percent from the floor, 34.9 percent from three-point range and 75 percent from the free-throw line.

The 24-year-old has seen an uptick in playing time over the last month with Pascal Siakam sidelined due to injury.

McCaw, who played his collegiate basketball at UNLV, was originally selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round (38th pick overall) of the 2016 NBA Draft but was immediately traded to the Golden State Warriors for cash.

He spent a couple of seasons with the Warriors and also played in three games for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season before joining the Raptors last January.
