The Toronto Raptors have signed former Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kay Felder.

As reported by Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports, the Raptors and Felder have agreed to a one-year partially guaranteed deal and will compete for the final spot in the team's roster.

Felder, 23 years old, was picked 54th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 2016 and was traded to the Cavaliers on draft night. After his stint with the Cavs, he moved to the Chicago Bulls then the Detroit Pistons.

He also played in the G League for various teams including the Canton Charge, Windy City Bulls, and the Grand Rapids Drive. Overall, he logged in 21.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. He also shot 43.6 percent from the field.

Competing for the 15th and final roster spot is definitely tough. Also, the Raptors have several guards on their roster already in Kyle Lowry, Delon Wright, and Fred VanVleet. They also have Jordan Loyd on a two-way contract and Lorenzo Brown on a guaranteed deal.

The task seems impossible. But Felder, despite his 5-foot-9 frame, made it to the NBA via the draft. Not everyone has accomplished that feat. In the event that his stint with the Raptors doesn't work out, there's always other teams who may need his services.
