The Baltimore Ravens are among the teams dealing with COVID-19 issues and the latest news from Baltimore could have an impact on this week's games. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Ravens are under intensive protocols after having another positive COVID-19 test on Thursday.
It was reported on Thursday that cornerback, Iman Marshall, tested positive for the coronavirus, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN. As a result, he was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list, and the Ravens were placed in the league's intensive protocol.
Marshall suffered a season-ending knee injury in training camp, thus making it likely that he wasn't around any teammates. Therefore, unlike similar cases, Baltimore didn't have any players who were high-risk contacts with Marshall that would need to sit out until further notice.
Besides Marshall, ESPN's Field Yates shared a handful of players in the NFL who were placed on the COVID-19 reserve list, including Cory Littleton of the Las Vegas Raiders.
This isn't the first COVID-19 case that the Ravens have had to deal with in recent weeks. Following Baltimore's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, it was revealed that Marlon Humphrey produced a positive COVID-19 test before the game.
Given that, Humphrey was forced to miss the team's Week 9 bout with the Indianapolis Colts. But after producing enough negative tests, the Ravens' All-Pro cornerback is set to return to the defense in Week 10 against the New England Patriots.
However, if the Ravens have any more issues arise from their COVID-19 fallout, then Sunday night's game against the Patriots could be moved to earlier on Sunday to ensure the league has a Sunday night contest. The league will be monitoring Baltimore's COVID-19 test results in the coming days before coming to a decision.
