The Washington Redskins made a splash in free agency with the signing of former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby. It seems his signing did not sit well with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar.
Dunbar was traded to Seattle after he could not come to terms on a contract extension with Washington. He took to social media to voice his displeasure with the signing of Darby to a one-year, $4 million deal, via Burgundy Blog:

Dunbar's comments indicate that both sides had been close to reaching a deal, however, Washington did not want to pay the price tag on him that they would later give to Darby. As a result, he was shipped to Seattle in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Although Dunbar may have taken the news as a knock on his own skill set, it is safe to say that it all worked out for both sides in the end. The Seahawks remain as one of the most competitive teams in the NFC and are still considered to be bonafide playoff contenders heading into the 2020 NFL season. Meanwhile, the Redskins are still in the midst of a grueling rebuild following all the significant changes they made to both their roster and coaching staff this offseason.
Washington was finally able to secure a player of their choosing after striking out on multiple big-name free agents. The addition of Darby can now help to solidify a revamped secondary that includes Kendall Fuller, Fabian Moreau, and Jimmy Moreland.
