Ask any Washington Redskins fan about the Trent Williams situation, and they will just shake their heads and ask for an end to the farce. It's obvious that the tackle wants out of the team, and he's gone to the media and repeat what everybody knows at this point.

Williams' relationship with the team took a turn after their questionable handling of his medical care in his eyes. And after all that's happened between them, the star left tackle admits that his relationship with the Redskins is well beyond repair at this point.

“I feel like everything has run its course,” Williams said per Mike Jones of USA Today. “I mean, I do want to play football still and I’m not a free agent until after the 2020 season, so who knows. But the bridge has definitely been burned, and any efforts now, basically are, in my opinion, pretty much just CYA (cover your ass).”

He's long expressed dissatisfaction about his situation in the franchise and is looking to get out of the team by any means necessary. The number of PR damages he did to the team would have been enough for other franchises to cut ties with him.

However, the Redskins understandably didn't want to let Williams go. He's made the Pro Bowl seven times which is a testament to his talent as a lineman.

The battle of wills between the two sides continues. It will eventually come to a fiery conclusion, and the divorce will be anything but pretty.
