The Washington Redskins just drafted Dwayne Haskins in the first round last spring, but that isn't stopping them from taking a look at some of the top quarterbacks in this year's draft class.

Apparently, the Redskins are bringing in both Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa for pre-draft visits, with head coach Ron Rivera saying that all options are on the table.

So that's, uh, odd.

It's one thing to just do your due diligence, but Rivera's comment makes it seem like Washington is seriously considering taking a quarterback with the second overall pick.

Of course, this could just be the Redskins trying to gain some leverage. In other words, if another team drafting below them wants to take one of Burrow or Tagovailoa, it could then think of trading up to get that pick from Washington, meaning the Redskins can come away with more assets in the process.

It just seems hard to fathom that Washington would give up on Haskins so quickly.

I understand that Haskins did not look all that impressive in his action during his rookie campaign, and I am also aware of the fact that Rivera was not the coach when the Redskins took Haskins, but you would think that Washington would at least give him more of a chance before treating him like he's Josh Rosen.

The general consensus has long been that the Redskins will take Ohio State defensive lineman Chase Young with their top selection, but now, things may have just gotten pretty interesting.
